13.11.14 English Review Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Le Zenith, Paris

Got to bed at 3am, got up at 9am. I really needed to be motivated to get out of bed without sleeping that much. And I definitely was : Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators‘ 2nd gig in Paris is today! 2pm, time to go at the venue to meet some friends and fans. Walking between the queue and the bus park. We got to see Frank Sidoris & Brent Fitz arriving, and Myles Kennedy & Slash a bit later. It’s cold outside, and waiting get longer & longer, but knowing we’re soon going to see our guys makes it easier. No VIP tickets for today. What does that mean? More chances to get the first row! 6pm, doors open, time to get our tix and run to the room. I get to be at the front row, just in front of Myles, where I was 2 years ago for their last gig in Paris. Only got to see 2 songs before getting out of the crowd because people were crazy. But this year, I’ll survive, I’ve decided so. Monster Truck get on stage 15 minutes late. They played for 35 minutes, their show was kinda similar with yesterday’s one. Time to change the stage, and Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators hit it around 8pm. They totally changed their setlist, for all the fans attending both of the Paris shows. They opened with Ghost. New song added tonight : Shadow Life, which is my favorite from World on Fire. It was amazing to hear it live, it’s been a great performance. Myles Kennedy‘s still close to the crowd, he often comes down to shake our hands. That’s how we gave him our french flag with a « French Battleground » written on it, during Mr. Brownstone. Rocket Queen lasted 28 minutes that night. 2 hours later, the show’s over. Slash greets us with a « see you next year » which pleases us all. They will be back and we won’t have to wait 2 years this time ! It was the 2nd of our 3shows tour, now off to Basel on saturday!
